കാസർകോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് യാഥാർഥ്യമാക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് 'ഞെട്ടിക്കൽ സമരവുമായി ' ആക്ഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റി. ആശുപത്രി കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ 'പ്രേതം ഉണ്ടെന്ന്' വിളിച്ചുകൂകി ഓടിയാണ് സമരം നടത്തിയത്. മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജിന്‍റെ നിർമ്മാണം വൈകുന്നതിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് ആയിരുന്നു സമരം.

കാസർകോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജിന്‍റെ  നിർമ്മാണം നിലച്ച കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ ഇറങ്ങിയോട്ടം. സർക്കാരിനെ ട്രോളി,  ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ പ്രേതം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് സമരക്കാർ. അങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ച് കൂകി  ഓടിയാണ് സമരപ്പന്തലിൽ എത്തിയത്. ഞെട്ടിക്കൽ സമരം എന്ന് പേരിട്ട പ്രത്യേക സമര രീതിയാണ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് ആക്ഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റി പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. 13 വർഷമായി പ്രഖ്യാപനങ്ങളിൽ ഒതുങ്ങുന്ന മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് പൂർണസജ്ജമാക്കണം എന്നാണ് ആവശ്യം.

 സർക്കാർ വിഷയത്തിൽ അടിയന്തരമായി ഇടപെട്ട് അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളും ഡോക്ടർമാരെയും അനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന് ആക്ഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ ആവശ്യം. കാലങ്ങളായി സമരം നടത്തുന്ന ആക്ഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റിയാണ് സംവിധാനങ്ങളെ ട്രോളി  ഞെട്ടിക്കൽ സമരം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. മുമ്പ് സെക്രട്ടറിയേറ്റ് പടിക്കൽ കരച്ചിൽ സമരവും ആക്ഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റി നടത്തിയിരുന്നു.
