പിണറായി വിജയനെ നേരില്‍ കണ്ട് നിയുക്ത മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വി.ഡി.സതീശന്‍ .  തിരുവനന്തപുരം ബേക്കറി ജംക്​ഷനിലെ വസതിയിലെത്തിയ  സതീശനെ കൈ പിടിച്ചാണ് പിണറായി സ്വീകരിച്ചത്. ഭാര്യ കമലയും മകള്‍ വീണയും സതീശനെ സ്വീകരിക്കാനെത്തി. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി ഇനി വി.ഡി.സതീശനിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവായി പിണറായി വിജയനും നിയമസഭയിലുണ്ടാകും. സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്‍റെ വളര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്കായി ഒന്നിച്ച് നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ പിന്തുണ തേടിയെന്ന് സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ വി.ഡി.സതീശന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. വികസന പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ തുടരുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. 

രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഗുരുവായിരുന്ന ജി.കാര്‍ത്തികയേന്‍റെ വസതിയിലെത്തി ഭാര്യ സുലേഖയെയും  ശബരീനാഥനെയും സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ച ശേഷമായിരുന്നു പിണറായിയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് സതീശന്‍ എത്തിയത്.  ജി കാര്‍ത്തികയേന്‍റെ  ഭാര്യ സുലേഖയെ കണ്ടതും ഓര്‍മകളുടെ കടലിരമ്പത്തില്‍ വി.ഡി.വിതുമ്പി. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കരയാന്‍ പാടില്ലെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ സുലേഖ, സതീശന് തന്‍റെ മൂത്ത മകന്‍റെ സ്ഥാനമാണെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. 

മറ്റു മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാക്കളെയും സതീശന്‍ വീടുകളിലെത്തി കാണുകയും പിന്തുണയും അനുഗ്രഹവും തേടുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. എംഎല്‍എ ഹോസ്റ്റലിലെത്തിയാണ് സതീശന്‍ പി.ജെ. ജോസഫിനെ കണ്ടത്. കേരളാ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എംഎല്‍എമാരും വി.ഡി.സതീശനെ സ്വീകരിക്കാനെത്തിയിരുന്നു. എ.കെ.ആന്‍റണിയെയും സുധീരനെയും കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം അദ്ദേഹം നേരില്‍ കണ്ടിരുന്നു.

He also continued his outreach by meeting senior leaders like PJ Joseph, AK Antony, and VM Sudheeran to seek their blessings and support. These courtesy calls underline Satheesan's efforts to maintain healthy inter-party relationships before officially taking charge.
