നീറ്റ് പുനഃപരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ ബാക്കി നില്‍ക്കെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി ജീവനൊടുക്കി. ഹൈദരാബാദിലെ മിയാപുര്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ ഷെയ്ഖ സന (19) ആണ് വീടിനുള്ളിലെ കിടപ്പുമുറിയില്‍ ജീവനൊടുക്കിയത്. പരീക്ഷയുടെ സമ്മര്‍ദവും കുടുംബത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രതീക്ഷകളും  റദ്ദാക്കിയ പരീക്ഷയിലെ ഉത്കണ്ഠയുമെല്ലാമാണ് ജീവിതം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലേക്ക് കുട്ടിയെ നയിച്ചതെന്നാണ് പൊലീസ് സംശയിക്കുന്നത്. 

കിടപ്പുമുറയില്‍ ചെറിയ പേപ്പറില്‍ 'എന്‍റെ മരണത്തിന് ആരും ഉത്തരവാദികളല്ല' എന്ന് സന എഴുതി വച്ചിരുന്നതും പൊലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു. സനയുടെ പരീക്ഷയായതിനാല്‍ കുവൈത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞയാഴ്ചയാണ് നാട്ടിലെത്തിയത്. മിയാപുരില്‍ സഹോദരങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം നിന്നാണ് സന പഠിച്ചിരുന്നത്. 

വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞെത്തിയ പൊലീസ് മൃതദേഹം താഴെയിറക്കി ഗാന്ധി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലേക്ക് പോസ്റ്റ്മോര്‍ട്ടത്തിനായി മാറ്റി. കേസ് റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.  പരീക്ഷയുടെ സമ്മര്‍ദം താങ്ങാനാവാതെ നിരവധി കുട്ടികളാണ് അടുത്തയിടെ ജീവനൊടുക്കിയത്. ഗാസിയബാദില്‍ 22 കാരനും വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ജീവനൊടുക്കിയിരുന്നു. പരീക്ഷ നന്നായി എഴുതാന്‍ കഴിയുമോയെന്ന് ഭയമാണെന്ന് അവസാനത്തെ വിഡിയോ സന്ദേശത്തില്‍ ഇയാള്‍ പറയുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ലക്നൗ സ്വദേശിയായ സുഹാനി യാദവും (17) ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ജീവനൊടുക്കിയിരുന്നു.

The heart-wrenching incident adds to a deeply concerning nationwide spike in student casualties linked to exam stress, following the recent losses of a twenty-two-year-old aspirant in Ghaziabad and seventeen-year-old Suhani Yadav in Lucknow.
