ആന്ധ്രയില്‍ വിശാഖപട്ടണത്തിന് സമീപം എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന ട്രെയിനില്‍ തീപിടിത്തം. ടാറ്റാ നഗര്‍ – എറണാകുളം എക്സ്പ്രസിലാണ് തീപിടിത്തം ഉണ്ടായത്. ഒരാള്‍ മരിച്ചു. വിജയവാഡ സ്വദേശി ചന്ദ്രശേഖര്‍ സുന്ദരമാണ് മരിച്ചത്. രണ്ട് ബോഗികള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും കത്തിനശിച്ചു. വിശാഖപട്ടണത്തുനിന്ന് 66  കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള യെലമഞ്ചിലിയിലാണ് തീപിടിത്തം ഉണ്ടായത്.

പുലർച്ചെ 12:45-നാണ് തീപിടുത്തത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വിവരം ലഭിച്ചതെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.ബി 1, എം 2 ബോഗികള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും കത്തിനശിച്ചു. ട്രെയിനിന് തീപിടിക്കുമ്പോൾ അപകടത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കോച്ചിൽ 82 യാത്രക്കാരും മറ്റൊന്നിൽ 76 പേരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് റയില്‍വേ അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. 

കേടുപാടുകൾ സംഭവിച്ച രണ്ട് കോച്ചുകളും വേർപെടുത്തിയ ശേഷം ട്രെയിൻ എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് യാത്ര തുടർന്നു. ഈ കോച്ചുകളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന യാത്രക്കാരെ അവരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ എത്തിക്കും. തീപിടുത്തത്തിന്റെ കാരണം കണ്ടെത്താനായി രണ്ട് ഫോറൻസിക് സംഘങ്ങൾ പരിശോധന നടത്തിവരികയാണെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

ENGLISH SUMMARY:

A fire broke out on the Tata Nagar–Ernakulam Express near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred at Yelamanchili, around 66 kilometres from Visakhapatnam, in the early hours of the morning. One passenger, identified as Chandrasekhar Sundaram from Vijayawada, lost his life in the blaze. Two train coaches were completely destroyed, while over 150 passengers were present in the affected compartments. After detaching the damaged coaches, the train continued its journey to Ernakulam. Two forensic teams have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
