ലോകകപ്പിലെ ഐവറി കോസ്റ്റ് താരം എലെ വാഹിക്കെതിരെ വാതുവയ്പ് കേസില്‍ അന്വേഷണം പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നു. ടൂര്‍ണമെന്‍റ് തുടങ്ങുന്നതിന് രണ്ടാഴ്ച മുന്‍പ് താരത്തെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും പിന്നീട് വിട്ടയ്ക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് ദ് അത്‌ലറ്റിക് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഫ്രഞ്ച് ക്ലബായ ഒജിസി നൈസിന് വേണ്ടി കളിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ 23കാരനായ താരം ഒത്തുകളിച്ചുവെന്നാണ് കേസ്. മേയ് 17ന് എഫ്സി മെറ്റ്സിനെതിരെ നടന്ന കളിയില്‍ താരം മനപ്പൂര്‍വം മഞ്ഞക്കാര്‍ഡ് വാങ്ങിയതാണ് അന്വേഷണത്തിലുള്ളത്.

 

കേസില്‍ മേയ് 29ന് വാഹിയെ ഫ്രഞ്ച് പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. എഎസ് സെന്‍റ് എറ്റിനെയ്ക്കെതിരായ മല്‍സരത്തില്‍ താരം രണ്ട് ഗോളുകള്‍ നേടിയത് നിര്‍ണായകമായിരുന്നു. കേസന്വേഷണത്തിനിടെ ലോകകപ്പിനായി വാഹി ടീമിനൊപ്പം ചേരുകയും ചെയ്തു.
