ചൂളമടിച്ച് ചൂളമടിച്ച് കൊച്ചിയിലൂടെ ഒരു യാത്ര. ചൂളമടിക്കാരുടെ സംഘടനയായ വേൾഡ് ഓഫ് വിസിലേഴ്സ് അസോസിയേഷനാണ് കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ഡബിൾ ഡെക്കർ ബസ്സിൽ നഗരം ചുറ്റിയത്. സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ ദിനവും സംഘടനയുടെ ഏഴാം വാർഷികവും ആഘോഷിച്ചാണ് വിസിലേഴ്‌സ് മടങ്ങിയത്.

 ഏഴു വയസ്സു മുതൽ 70 വയസ്സ് വരെ പ്രായമായവരുണ്ട് കൂട്ടത്തിൽ. ഇന്നത്തെ ചൂളമടി യാത്രയിൽ 63 പേർ പങ്കാളികളായി.  ദിവസേന നാലു മണിക്കൂറിൽ അധികം ചൂളമടി പരിശീലിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ട്. പാട്ടിന്റെ വരികളും താളവും മനപ്പാഠമാക്കണം.

 കൂട്ടായ്മയിലെ സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് പറയാനുള്ളത്, സ്ത്രീകൾ ചൂളമടിക്കരുതെന്ന വിലക്കിനെ മറികടന്ന ധൈര്യത്തിന്റെ കഥയാണ്. രാത്രിയിൽ ചൂളം വിളിച്ചാൽ പാമ്പ് വരും എന്ന് തുടങ്ങിയ അന്ധവിശ്വാസങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെയുള്ള ബോധവൽക്കരണം കൂടിയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. സംഘടനയിൽ നിലവിൽ 700ലധികം ആളുകൾ ഉണ്ട്. അംഗബലം 1200 ആക്കി ഗിന്നസ് ബുക്കിൽ റെക്കോർഡ് ഇടാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് വിസിലർസ്.

The World of Whistlers Association organized a unique double-decker bus tour of Kochi, celebrating Independence Day and the organization's seventh anniversary. The event saw 63 members, aged from 7 to over 70, participate in the "whistling journey." Many members practice whistling for more than four hours a day, memorizing song lyrics and rhythms. The women in the group shared stories of overcoming societal restrictions and superstitions against women whistling. The association, which currently has over 700 members, aims to increase its membership to 1200 to set a Guinness World Record.
