കോട്ടയം കുമരകത്ത് വെള്ളക്കെട്ട് കാരണം ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്താൻ വൈകിയ വീട്ടമ്മ മരിച്ചു. മങ്കുഴി പാടശേഖരത്ത് താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന പാകത്തുശ്ശേരി റോസമ്മയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. 71 കാരിയായ റോസമ്മ ഹൃദയശസ്ത്രക്രിയ കഴിഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിൽ വിശ്രമിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
ദേഹാസ്വാസ്ഥ്യം അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടതോടെ അടുത്ത് താമസിക്കുന്നവരും പഞ്ചായത്ത് അംഗവും ചേർന്ന് റോസമ്മയെ വള്ളത്തിൽ കയറ്റി പ്രധാന റോഡിൽ എത്തിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ആംബുലൻസിൽ കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മരിച്ചത്.
