A high-priority orange alert has been officially declared for the three contiguous districts of Idukki, Ernakulam, and Thrissur to warn against severe downpours. Concurrently, five other crucial districts, including Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad, and Malappuram, have been placed under a precautionary yellow alert. Weather scientists state that these intense atmospheric changes are highly likely to trigger extensive rainfall patterns across most parts of the state until tomorrow evening. Regional disaster management authorities have actively advised residents living in landslide-prone hill tracks and low-lying coastal belts to remain extremely vigilant. Furthermore, local fishing communities have been strictly warned against venturing into the rough Arabian Sea due to forecasted squally winds and turbulent shore conditions.
