മന്ത്രിസഭാ യോഗത്തിൽ റാപ്പിഡ് റയിൽ ട്രാൻസിറ്റ് (RRT) പ്രഖ്യാപനവുമായി കേരളം. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം - തൃശൂർ ലൈനായിരിക്കും. 583 കിലോമീറ്റർ ലൈൻ നാല് ഘട്ടങ്ങളിലായി നടപ്പാക്കും. 

തിരുവനന്തപുരം മുതൽ കാസർകോട്  വരെ നീളുന്നതായിരിക്കും പാത. ആര്‍ആര്‍ടി റെയിൽ നടപ്പാക്കുമെന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം മനോരമ ന്യൂസ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു

 

അത്യാവശ്യം സ്ഥലത്തു മാത്രം ഭൂമിയിലൂടെ ലൈന്‍ കടന്നു പോകും. ഡൽഹി മീററ്റ് മാതൃകയിലായിരിക്കും നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. 20% പദ്ധതി ചെലവ് സംസ്ഥാനം വഹിക്കും. 20% കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ ഫണ്ട്. 60% ധനകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും വായ്പ എടുക്കും.

The Kerala government has given the green light to a major new infrastructure project: a Rapid Rail Transit (RRT) system connecting Thiruvananthapuram in the south to Kasaragod in the north. The 583-kilometer line, modeled after the successful Delhi-Meerut corridor, will be implemented in four phases, with the first connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur. The project's cost will be shared between the state (20%), the central government (20%), with the remaining 60% sourced from loans.
