ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 8:45ഓടെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന കേരള എക്സ്പ്രസ് ജനറൽ കമ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റിലായിരുന്നു 19 വയസ്സുകാരിയായ സോനയും സുഹൃത്ത് അർച്ചനയും ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. അക്രമി തിരുവനന്തപുരം പനച്ചമൂട് സ്വദേശി 48 വയസ്സുകാരനായ സുരേഷ് കുമാർ റെയിൽവേ പൊലിസിന്റെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ തുടരുകയാണ്.

സുരേഷ്  കുമാര്‍ ആദ്യം ശ്രീക്കുട്ടിയെ   ട്രെയിനില്‍ നിന്ന് ചവിട്ടി വെളിയിലേക്ക് തള്ളി. പിന്നാലെ സുഹൃത്ത് അര്‍ച്ചനയും ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.  ചവിട്ടി പുറത്തേക്ക് തള്ളിയ അര്‍ച്ചന കമ്പിയില്‍ പിടികിട്ടിയതിനാല്‍ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. നിലവിളികേട്ടെത്തിയ സഹയാത്രികരാണ് അര്‍ച്ചനയെ  പിടിച്ചുകയറ്റിയത്.

The health condition of Sreekutty, also known as Sona, a native of Palode in Thiruvananthapuram, who was pushed off a moving train by a drunk man, has shown improvement. Doctors at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, where she is being treated in the intensive care unit, have stated that no emergency surgery is required at present. However, due to internal bleeding, doctors are yet to confirm that she is fully out of danger. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday in the general compartment of the Kerala Express traveling toward Thiruvananthapuram. The victims were 19-year-old Sona and her friend Archana. The accused, 48-year-old Suresh Kumar, a resident of Panachamoodu, Thiruvananthapuram, remains in railway police custody.
