ശബരിമല തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിന് കൂടുതൽ സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കുന്ന റോപ് വേ പദ്ധതിക്ക് സംസ്ഥാന വന്യജീവി ബോർഡിന്റെ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചു. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ ചേർന്ന യോഗമാണ് പദ്ധതിക്ക് അംഗീകാരം നൽകിയത്. പമ്പ ഹിൽ ടോപ്പ് മുതൽ സന്നിധാനം വരെ 2.7 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിലാണ് റോപ് വേ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നത്.
