ലബനനില്‍ പുതിയ പോര്‍മുഖം തുറന്ന ഇസ്രയേല്‍ വ്യോമാക്രമണത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ കരയുദ്ധവും തുടങ്ങി. അതിര്‍ത്തിയിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകന്‍ നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയതിന് പിന്നാലെ തലസ്ഥാനമായ ബെയ്റൂട്ടില്‍ ഹിസ്ബുല്ല കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ വ്യോമാക്രമണം ശക്തമാക്കി. നൂറിലേറേപേര്‍ ലബനനില്‍ രണ്ടുദിവസത്തിനിടെ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു.  കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ലെബനന്‍ അതിര്‍ത്തിയിലെ സൈനിക പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് സമീപത്തുനിന്ന്  ഇസ്രയേല്‍ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി റോക്കറ്റുകള്‍ വിക്ഷേപിച്ചിരുന്നു.

ഇത് സൈന്യം വിക്ഷേപിച്ചതല്ലെന്ന് ലെബനന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. സൈന്യത്തോട് പോസ്റ്റുകളില്‍നിന്ന് പിന്‍മാറാനും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഹിസ്ബുല്ല ആയുധം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നിരോധിച്ചു. ലബനനിലെ ഹിസ്ബുല്ല മേഖലകളില്‍നിന്ന് മുപ്പതിനായിരത്തോളംപേര്‍ അഭയകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മാറിയതായി ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സംഘടന അറിയിച്ചു. യുദ്ധം മുന്നില്‍കണ്ട് രാജ്യം വിടുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണവും കൂടി. സിറിയന്‍ അതിര്‍ത്തി ചെക്ക്പോസ്റ്റുകളില്‍ വാഹനങ്ങളുെട നീണ്ട നീര കണ്ടു തുടങ്ങി.

After Iran, Israel has strengthened its attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Heavy attacks continue in the Lebanese capital. Ahead of a possible ground war, Israel has issued a warning for people in the Lebanese border villages to evacuate. People have begun leaving in large numbers.
