ജൂനിയര്‍ അഭിഭാഷകയെ മര്‍ദ്ദിച്ച കേസിലെ പ്രതി ബെയ്‌ലിന്‍ ദാസിനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചുവെന്ന ആരോപണം വാസ്തവ വിരുദ്ധമെന്ന് ബാര്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി ജി.മുരളീധരന്‍. ബെയ്‌ലിന്‍ ദാസിനെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുക്കാന്‍ വക്കീല്‍ ഓഫീസില്‍ വന്നിട്ടില്ല. അതിനാല്‍ പൊലീസിനെ തടഞ്ഞുവെന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത തെറ്റാണ്. മര്‍ദ്ദനമേറ്റ അഭിഭാഷകയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പമാണ് ബാര്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍. വഞ്ചിയൂര്‍ കോടതയില്‍ പ്രാക്ടീസ് തുടരാന്‍ അഭിഭാഷകയ്ക്ക് എല്ലാ സംരക്ഷണവും നല്‍കുമെന്നും ജി മുരളീധരന്‍ മനോരമ ന്യൂസിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.  

തിരുവനന്തപുരം വഞ്ചിയൂരിൽ യുവ അഭിഭാഷകയെ മർദ്ദിച്ച കേസിൽ അറസ്റ്റിലായ അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് ബെയിലിൻ ദാസിന്റെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷയിൽ മജിസ്ട്രേറ്റ് കോടതി ഇന്ന് വിധി പറയും. ബെയിലിന്റെ സ്വന്തം ഓഫീസിലുള്ളവർ തന്നെയാണ് കേസിലെ സാക്ഷികൾ എന്നതിനാൽ ജാമ്യം അനുവദിക്കരുതെന്നാണ് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷൻ വാദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. 

കഴിഞ്ഞ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയാണ് സ്വന്തം ചേമ്പറിൽ വച്ച് ജൂനിയർ അഭിഭാഷകയായ ശ്യാമിലിയെ ബെയിലിൻ മർദ്ദിച്ചത്. മൂന്നുദിവസം ഒളിവിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ബെയിലിനെ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച പോലീസ് പിടികൂടുകയായിരുന്നു.

Bar Association Secretary G. Muraleedharan clarified that the allegation that the association tried to protect Beilin Das, the accused in the case of assaulting a junior advocate, is baseless. He stated that Beilin Das was not taken into custody from the lawyer’s office, and the news that the police were obstructed is false. The Bar Association stands firmly with the assaulted advocate. G. Muraleedharan told Manorama News that the advocate will be given full protection to continue practice at the Vanchiyoor court.
