മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ ജൽഗാവ് ജില്ലയിലെ അമൽനെർ താലൂക്ക് സ്വദേശികളായ ശ്യാം ഹരി പാട്ടീൽ, സപ്ന പാട്ടീൽ എന്നിവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഏതാനും മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപാണ് ഇരുവരും വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചത്. പ്രണയ വിവാഹമായിരുന്നു. കുറച്ച് ദിവസങ്ങളായി ഇവരെ കാണാനില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കൾ പറഞ്ഞതായി പൊലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ധൂലെ ജില്ലയിലെ സവാൽദെ മേഖലയിലൂടെ ഒഴുകുന്ന തപി നദിയുടെ അടിത്തട്ടിൽ നിന്നാണ് മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ പൊങ്ങിയത്. ഇരുവരുടെയും കാലുകൾ ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയിൽ കെട്ടി, പൂട്ട് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പൂട്ടിയ നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തില്‍ നർദാന പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൊലപാതകവും ആത്മഹത്യയും ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള എല്ലാ സാധ്യതകളും പരിശോധിച്ചു വരികയാണെന്നും പോസ്റ്റ്‌മോർട്ടം റിപ്പോർട്ട് വന്ന ശേഷമേ കൂടുതൽ വിവരങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമാകൂ എന്നും പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞു.
