പഹല്‍ഗാമില്‍ ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയ ഭീകരര്‍ക്ക് സഹായം നല്‍കിയ ആള്‍ അറസ്റ്റില്‍. ലഷ്കറുമായി ബന്ധമുള്ള മുഹമ്മദ് കത്താരിയ ആണ് പിടിയിലായത്. ജൂലൈയില്‍ നടന്ന ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍ മഹാദേവില്‍ കണ്ടെടുത്ത ആയുധങ്ങള്‍ ഫൊറന്‍സിക് പരിശോധന നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന്‍റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് കത്താരിയയ്ക്ക് ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തിലുള്ള ബന്ധം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്. ഭീകരര്‍ക്ക് യാത്രാസൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കിയത് കത്താരിയയാണ്.

ഏപ്രില്‍ 22 ന് പഹല്‍ഗാമില്‍ നടന്ന ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തില്‍ 26 പേര്‍ക്കാണ് ജീവന്‍ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്. അതിനിടെ കുല്‍ഗാമിലെ ബ്രിണാല്‍ വനത്തിലെ ഭീകരകേന്ദ്രം സൈന്യം തകര്‍ത്തു. സ്ഥലത്ത് സ്ഫോടനമുണ്ടായി. പരിശോധന തുടരുകയാണെന്ന് കരസേന അറിയിച്ചു.

ഭീകരവാദികളെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ ജൂലൈ 28ന് സുരക്ഷാ സേന നടത്തിയ ഓപ്പറേഷൻ മഹാദേവിൽ രണ്ട് ഭീകരരെ പിടികൂടി വധിച്ചിരുന്നു. പഹൽഗാം ആക്രമണത്തിന്റെ മുഖ്യസൂത്രധാരനെന്ന് ആരോപിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സുലൈമാൻ ഷാ എന്ന ഹാഷിം മൂസ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ളവരെയാണ് സുരക്ഷാ സേന വധിച്ചത്. പാകിസ്ഥാൻ സൈന്യത്തിലെ എലൈറ്റ് സ്‌പെഷ്യൽ സർവീസ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിലെ മുൻ കമാൻഡോ ആയിരുന്നു സുലൈമാൻ ഷാ. പിന്നീട് ഇയാള്‍ എൽഇടിയിൽ ചേരുകയായിരുന്നു.  പഹല്‍ഗാം ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തിന് പുറമേ ബാരാമുള്ളയിൽ നാല് സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ മരണത്തിന് കാരണമായ ആക്രമണത്തിലും ഇയാൾക്ക് പങ്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇവരിൽ നിന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയ ആയുധങ്ങളുടെയും ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെയും ഫൊറൻസിക് വിശകലനത്തിന് ശേഷമാണ് മുഹമ്മദ് കത്താരിയയെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്.

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested Mohammad Kathariya, a Lashkar-e-Taiba associate, for aiding terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. Forensic analysis of weapons recovered during Operation Mahadev in July confirmed Kathariya’s role in providing logistical support and travel facilities to the attackers. Earlier, the Army eliminated two militants, including mastermind Sulaiman Shah alias Hashim Moosa, a former Pakistani SSG commando, linked to both the Pahalgam and Baramulla attacks. Meanwhile, the Army destroyed a militant hideout in Brinal forest, Kulgam, where explosives were recovered. Investigations are ongoing.
