ആഴക്കടലില്‍ വീണ്ടും ചരക്കുകപ്പലില്‍ വന്‍ തീപിടിത്തം; കപ്പല്‍ ജീവനക്കാരില്‍ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരും

A massive fire has broken out once again on a cargo ship in the high seas. Flames spread to the engine room of an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. Fourteen crew members on board are Indians. The vessel had departed from Kandla in Gujarat, bound for Shinas coast in Oman. A team from the Indian Navy is conducting rescue operations on the burning oil tanker. INS Tabar, a warship belonging to the Talwar-class frigate category, has reached close to the stricken vessel. From the warship, a naval rescue team was deployed onto the oil tanker using helicopters and speedboats. Thirteen naval personnel are now engaged in firefighting operations aboard the oil tanker.
