അമേരിക്കയെ ഞെട്ടിച്ച് വാഷിങ്ടണ്‍ ഡിസിയില്‍ രണ്ട് ഇസ്രയേലി എംബസി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ അക്രമി വെടിവച്ച് കൊന്നു.  ക്യാപിറ്റല്‍ ജൂയിഷ് മ്യൂസിയത്തിന് സമീപമാണ് വെടിവയ്പുണ്ടായത്.  അക്രമിയെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. പലസ്തീന്‍ അനുകൂല മുദ്രാവാക്യം മുഴക്കി നിറയൊഴിക്കുകയായിരുന്നെന്ന് പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു.  

ബസി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരായ യുവാവും യുവതിയുമാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. ജൂതന്മാർക്കെതിരായ ഭീകരവാദത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നടന്ന അതിക്രമമാണിതെന്ന് വെടിവയ്പ്പിനെ അപലപിച്ച് ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സംഘടനയിലെ ഇസ്രയേൽ അംബാസഡർ ഡാനി ഡനോൻ  പ്രതികരിച്ചു. ജൂതവിരോധം അംഗീകരിക്കില്ലെന്നും കര്‍ശന നടപടിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോണള്‍ഡ് ട്രംപ് പറഞ്ഞു.
