രാവിലെ കണാരംവയലില്‍ നിന്ന് മാതമംഗലത്തേക്ക് ബസ് കയറാന്‍ നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ബൈക്കിലെത്തിയ മോഷ്ടാവ് പരിചയം നടിച്ച് ലിഫ്റ്റ് നല്‍കാമെന്ന് പറയുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇത് വിശ്വസിച്ച് കയറിയ ശാന്തയെ ആളൊഴിഞ്ഞ വഴിയിലൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി ബൈക്കില്‍ നിന്നിറക്കി മാല പൊട്ടിച്ച് മുങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. പരിയാരം പൊലീസ് കേസെടുത്തു.

A housewife was robbed of her gold chain weighing one and a half sovereigns after being offered a ride by a stranger in Mathamangalam, Kannur. Trusting his words, she boarded the motorcycle, after which he diverted to a secluded path, forced her off the vehicle, and snatched her chain before fleeing the scene.
