കാസർകോട് കലക്ടറേറ്റിലെ ക്ലാർക്ക് ആശ (42) വിഷം കഴിച്ച് മരിച്ചു. ഓഫീസിലേക്ക് വരുമ്പോൾ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. റവന്യൂ വകുപ്പിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ആശയെ പുതിയ സർക്കാർ അധികാരത്തിൽ വന്നതോടുകൂടി എൻഡോസൾഫാൻ സെല്ലിലേക്ക് സ്ഥലം മാറ്റിയിരുന്നു. ഇവിടെയുണ്ടായ മാനസിക സമ്മർദ്ദമാണ് ജീവനൊടുക്കാൻ കാരണമെന്ന് സഹപ്രവർത്തകരും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും ആരോപിച്ചു.

വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ഓഫീസിലേക്ക് വരുന്ന വഴി എലിവിഷം കഴിച്ച ആശയെ ഉടൻ തന്നെ കാസർകോട്ടെ ആസ്റ്റർ മിംസ് ആശുപത്രിയിലും പിന്നീട് ആരോഗ്യനില വഷളായതിനെ തുടർന്ന് കണ്ണൂരിലെയും കോഴിക്കോട്ടെയും ആശുപത്രികളിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയായിരുന്നു. 

കോഴിക്കോട്ട് ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് മരണം സംഭവിച്ചത്. എതിർത്തോട് സ്വദേശിനിയാണ്. പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടത്തിനു ശേഷം മൃതദേഹം ബന്ധുക്കൾക്ക് വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കും. സംഭവത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ അന്വേഷണം നടന്നു വരുന്നു.
