സന്ദീപ് വാരിയർ എംഎൽഎക്കു നേരെ വധ ഭീഷണി. കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസം വൈകിട്ട് 6.18 നാണ് വെടിവച്ചു കൊല്ലും എന്ന ഫോൺകോൾ എംഎൽഎക്കു വന്നത്. ചെറുവത്തൂരിൽ ഒരു പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത് തൃക്കരിപ്പൂർ ഭാഗത്തേക്കു തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നതിനു കാറിൽ കയറിയിരിക്കുന്നതിനിടിയിലാണ് വധ ഭീഷണി ഉയർത്തിയുള്ള ഫോൺ സന്ദേശം.

ഉടൻ തന്നെ ചന്തേര പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ എത്തി സന്ദീപ് വാരിയർ തനിക്കു വധ ഭീഷണി വന്ന ഫോൺ നമ്പർ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി പരാതി നൽകി. സംഭവത്തിൽ ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രി രമേശ് ചെന്നിത്തല ഇടപെട്ടു. അതീവ ഗൗരവത്തോടെ ഈ സംഭവത്തിൽ ഇടപെട്ട് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തണമെന്നും വധ ഭീഷണി മുഴക്കിയ കുറ്റവാളിയെ എത്രയും വേഗം പിടികൂടി നടപടി എടുക്കണമെന്നും രമേശ് ചെന്നിത്തല ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്ക് നിർദേശം നൽകി. സംഭവത്തിൽ വ്യാപകമായ പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയർന്നു.
