നെയ്മാറില്ലെങ്കിലെന്താ ബ്രസീലിന് മത്തേയൂസ് കൂന്യയുണ്ടല്ലോ... ആരാധകര്‍ക്ക് ആവേശമേറ്റി ലോകകപ്പില്‍ ബ്രസീലിന് ആദ്യജയം. എതിരില്ലാത്ത മൂന്ന് ഗോളുകള്‍ക്കാണ് ബ്രസീല്‍ ഹെയ്റ്റിയെ തോല്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. ഇഗോര്‍ തിയാഗോയ്ക്ക് പകരക്കാരനായി ആദ്യ ഇലവനില്‍ ഇടം പിടിച്ച മത്തേയൂസ് കൂന്യയാണ് ബ്രസീലിനായി ഡബിളടിച്ചത്. വിനീസ്യൂസ് ജൂനിയറും ബ്രസീലിനായി ഗോള്‍ നേടി.

23–ാം മിനിറ്റിലും 36–ാം മിനിറ്റിലുമാണ് കൂന്യയുടെ ഗോളുകള്‍. 23–ാം  മിനിറ്റില്‍ റീബൗണ്ടിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു ഗോളെങ്കില്‍ റോക്കറ്റ് പോലെയായിരുന്നു രണ്ടാം ഗോളെത്തിയത്. വിനീസ്യൂസ് ബോക്സിന് പിന്നിലേക്ക് നല്‍കിയ പന്ത് കിട്ടിയതോടെ പ്രതിരോധ നിരയെ വെട്ടിച്ച് മുന്നോട്ട് കുതിച്ച കൂന്യ ഡയഗണലായി ഓടിയെത്തി പന്ത് വലയിലേക്കുതിര്‍ത്തു.

ആദ്യപകുതിയുടെ ഇഞ്ചറി ടൈമില്‍ (45+3') മിഡ്‌ഫീൽഡിൽ നിന്ന് പക്വേറ്റ ജാക്വസിനെ വെട്ടിച്ച് മുന്നേറി ഒരു ചിപ്പ് ത്രൂ-ബോൾ നൽകുന്നു. അതിവേഗത്തിലോടിയെത്തിയ വിനീസ്യൂസ്, പ്ലാസിഡിനെ കാഴ്ചക്കാരനാക്കി പന്ത് വലയിലെത്തിച്ചു. 

വിരസമായിരുന്ന ആദ്യ 22 മിനിറ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് പിന്നീടാണ് വേഗം വച്ചത്. അഞ്ചുവട്ടം ചാംപ്യന്‍മാരായ ബ്രസീല്‍ അതുവരെ ഇഴഞ്ഞാണ് കളിച്ചത്. പ്രതിരോധത്തിലും ആവേശമോ ആക്രമണോല്‍സുകതയോ തുലോം കാണാനില്ലായിരുന്നു. 

ജയത്തോടെ ബ്രസീല്‍ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് സിയില്‍ ഒന്നാമതെത്തി. നാല് പോയിന്‍റുമായി മൊറോക്കോയാണ് രണ്ടാമത്. മൊറോക്കോയ്ക്കെതിരെ സമനില വഴങ്ങിയ ടീമില്‍ രണ്ടുമാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്തിയാണ് ബ്രസീല്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയത്. സ്ട്രൈക്കര്‍ ഇഗോര്‍ തിയാഗോയ്ക്ക് പകരം മത്തേയൂസ് കൂന്യ ആദ്യ ഇലവനില്‍ ഇടംപിടിച്ചു. റൈറ്റ് ബാക്ക് ബാക്ക് റോജര്‍ ഇബാനസിനെയും ഒഴിവാക്കി. ഡനിലോയാണ് പകരക്കാരന്‍. പരുക്കേറ്റ നെയ്മര്‍ ഇന്നും കളിച്ചില്ല.

ലോകകപ്പില്‍ ആദ്യപകുതിയില്‍ തന്നെ മൂന്ന് ഗോള്‍ ബ്രസീല്‍ നേടുന്നത് തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ രണ്ടാം തവണയാണ്. 2022 ല്‍ ദക്ഷിണ കൊറിയയ്ക്കെതിരെയായിരുന്നു ആദ്യം. നാല് ഗോളുകളാണ് അന്ന് നേടിയത്. 2002 ല്‍ കോസ്റ്ററിക്കയ്ക്കെതിരെയും ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ചൈനയ്ക്കെതിരെയും ബ്രസീല്‍ മൂന്നടിച്ച് മുന്നിലെത്തിയിരുന്നു.  തീര്‍ന്നില്ല, ലോകകപ്പ് മല്‍സരത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ പകുതിയില്‍ ബ്രസീലിയന്‍ താരം രണ്ടിലേറെ ഗോളുകള്‍ നേടുന്നത് ഇത്  പത്താം തവണയാണ്. 2014 ല്‍ നെയ്മാര്‍ ക്രൊയേഷ്യയ്ക്കെതിരെ ഈ നേട്ടം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
