കളിയുടെ 67–ാം മിനിറ്റിലാണ് മെക്സിക്കോ രണ്ടാം ഗോള്‍ നേടിയത്. റോബർട്ടോ അൽവരാഡോയുടെ ക്രോസിൽ നിന്ന് തകർപ്പൻ ഹെഡറിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു ഹിമെനെസിന്‍റെ ഗോള്‍. തൊട്ടടുത്ത നിമിഷം ആകാശത്തേക്ക് കൈകളുയര്‍ത്തി ഹിമെനെസ് വിതുമ്പി. മരിച്ചു പോയ അച്ഛന് സമര്‍പ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ആ ഗോള്‍.
