വീടിനുമുന്നില്‍ വെച്ച് കാട്ടാനയാക്രമണത്തില്‍ കുമാരന്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട പാലക്കാട് ഞാറക്കോടില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസവും കാട്ടാനക്കൂട്ടമെത്തി. ഒന്നരമാസത്തിനിടെ രണ്ടുപേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട മേഖലയില്‍ പകല്‍ സമയം പോലും പുറത്തിറങ്ങാനാവുന്നില്ലെന്നാണ് നാട്ടുക്കാര്‍ പറയുന്നത്. കുമാരന്‍റെ മരണത്തോടെ മേഖലയില്‍ കുങ്കികളെ വെച്ച് കാട്ടാനകളെ തുരത്തിയെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടും കാടിറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.
