തൃശൂർ പീച്ചി പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ മൂന്ന് വർഷം മുൻപ് നടന്ന മർദനക്കേസിൽ തുടർനടപടി വൈകുന്നു. സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ തെളിവായുണ്ടായിട്ടും കർശന നടപടിയില്ലെന്നാണ് പരാതി. 2023 മേയ് 24നാണ് പീച്ചി പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ ഹോട്ടൽ ഉടമയേയും ജീവനക്കാരെയും മർദിച്ചത്. ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ പി.എം. രതീഷ് ആണ് മർദ്ദിച്ചത്. പട്ടിക്കാട് ലാലീസ് ഹോട്ടൽ ഉടമ കെ.പി. ഔസേപ്പ്, മകൻ പോൾ ജോസഫ്, മാനേജർ റോണി, ഡ്രൈവർ ലിതിൻ ഫിലിപ്പ് എന്നിവരാണ് മർദനത്തിനിരയായത്. ഹോട്ടലിലെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ ഗുണമേന്മയെ ചൊല്ലി ഉണ്ടായ തർക്കത്തിനു പിന്നാലെയാണ് ഇവർ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെത്തിയത്.

Three years after a brutal custodial torture incident at the Peechi police station in Thrissur, the victims' family is still awaiting stringent departmental action against the accused officers. The incident occurred on May 26, 2023, when Pattikkad Lalis hotel owner K.P. Ouseph, his son Paul Joseph, and two staff members were severely assaulted by then-Inspector P.M. Ratheesh over a minor dispute regarding food quality.
