അതേസമയം, കഴിഞ്ഞ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന് മുൻപ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജിലെ പുതിയ സർജിക്കൽ ബ്ലോക്കിന്റെ നിർമാണത്തിലെ പിഴവുകൾ പരിശോധിക്കും. നിർമാണ കമ്പനിയായ 'ഹൈറ്റ്സിൽ നിന്ന് കെട്ടിടം സർക്കാർ ഏറ്റെടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. ഉടൻ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് യോഗം ചേരുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. കൂടാതെ, പാമ്പാടി താലൂക്ക് ആശൂപത്രിക്ക് ഉമ്മന്‍ ചാണ്ടിയുടെ പേരു നല്‍കും. ചങ്ങനാശേരി, വൈക്കം ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ആശുപത്രിലെ കെട്ടിടങ്ങളുടെ നിർമാണം വേഗത്തിൽ പൂർത്തിയാക്കാനും കോട്ടയത്ത് ചേർന്ന ജനസമ്പർക്ക പരിപാടിയിൽ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.
