കോട്ടയത്ത് സ്മൈൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പകൽവീട് അംഗങ്ങൾക്കായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ക്രിസ്മസ് ആഘോഷം കലക്ടർ ചേതൻകുമാർ മീണ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സ്നേഹവും പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കലും ഒരോരുത്തർക്കും വേണമെന്ന് കലക്ടർ പറഞ്ഞു.
സിഎസ്ഐ മധ്യകേരള വിമൻ ഫെലോഷിപ്, മാന്നാനം കെഇ കോളജ് സോഷ്യൽവർക്ക് ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റ്, സിഎംഎസ് കോളജ് എംഎ സോഷ്യോളജി ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റ് എന്നിവരുമായി ചേർന്നാണ് ചടങ്ങ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. പകൽവീട് അംഗങ്ങളും വിദ്യാർഥികളും ചേർന്നു കാരൾ ഗാനങ്ങളും കലാപരിപാടികളും നടത്തി. മലയാള മനോരമ മാർക്കറ്റിങ് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റും സ്മൈൽ ഇന്ത്യ പ്രസിഡന്റുമായ വർഗീസ് ചാണ്ടി അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു.

District Collector Chethan Kumar Meena inaugurated the Christmas celebrations organized by Smile India for the members of 'Pakalveedu' (Day Care Homes for elderly) in Kottayam. During the event, the Collector emphasized the importance of sharing and the message of love. The celebration was organized in collaboration with the CSI Central Kerala Women’s Fellowship, the Social Work Department of Mannanam KE College, and the Sociology Department of CMS College. The event featured carol singing and various cultural programs by both students and elderly members. Varghese Chandy, Vice President of Marketing at Malayala Manorama and President of Smile India, presided over the function.
