വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിന്‍റെ വിരസതകളിൽ ഒറ്റപെട്ടു പോയവരെ സംഗീതത്തിലൂടെ യൗവനത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുകയാണ് ഷീബ ടീച്ചർ. കോഴിക്കോട് പുതിയറയിലെ കലാശാല സംഗീത നിലയത്തിലെ വയോധികരായ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ കോഴിക്കോട് അവതരിപ്പിച്ച സംഗീത സാഗരം പാടിയവരുടെയും പ്രേക്ഷകരുടെയും മനസു നിറച്ചു. സംഗീത നിലയത്തിന്‍റെ പത്താം വാർഷികത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്.

ജീവിത സായാഹ്നത്തില്‍ മനസുകളില്‍ സംഗീതത്തിന്‍റെ തിരിനാളം തെളിയിക്കുകയാണ് ഷീബ ടീച്ചര്‍. കോഴിക്കോട് ടൗണ്‍ ഹാളിൽ കലാശാല സംഗീത നിലയത്തിൽ സംഗീതം പഠിക്കുന്നവർ ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്ന് പാടിയപ്പോൾ അത് പലര്‍ക്കും സ്വപ്ന സാഫല്യം കൂടിയായി മാറി.

60 വയസ് കഴിഞ്ഞവർക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ 10 വർഷമായി കലാശാല സംഗീത നിലയത്തിലൂടെ  സൗജന്യമായി സംഗീത പാഠങ്ങള്‍ പകരുകയാണ് ഷീബ ടീച്ചര്‍. ജോലിയിൽ നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ചവരും, വീട്ടിൽ വിശ്രമ ജീവിതം നയിക്കുന്നവരും ഒക്കെയാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ വിദ്യാർഥികൾ. ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഒരു ദിവസം രണ്ടു മണിക്കൂർ നേരമാണ് ഇവർക്ക് ക്ലാസ്.
