എല്‍ഡിഎഫിന്റെ ചാലക്കുടി സീറ്റ് കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എം, നഗരസഭയിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് കൗണ്‍സിലര്‍ക്കു വിറ്റതായി ആക്ഷേപം. കൊടിയേക്കാള്‍ വലുത് കോടിയാണെന്ന് എല്‍ഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥിയാകാനിരുന്ന ഡെന്നീസ് കെ. ആന്‍റണി കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.   കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എമ്മിന്‍റെ സംസ്ഥാന സ്റ്റിയറിങ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗമാണ് ഡെന്നീസ് കെ ആന്‍റണി. കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടത് 1057 വോട്ടുകള്‍ക്കായിരുന്നു. തോറ്റിട്ടും അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷം മണ്ഡലത്തില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു. ഇത്തവണ ഡെന്നീസ് മല്‍സരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പായിരുന്നു. കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എം നേതൃത്വം ഡെന്നീസിനോട് മല്‍സരിക്കാനും പറഞ്ഞു. 

 

പെട്ടെന്നാണ് ട്വിസ്റ്റ്. ചാലക്കുടി നഗരസഭയിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് കൗണ്‍സിലറായ അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് ബിജു ചിറയത്ത് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥിയായി. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ നിന്ന് രാജിവച്ച് കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എമ്മില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നു. സമ്പന്നനായ ബിജുവിന് കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എം സീറ്റ് നല്‍കിയെന്നാണ് ഡെന്നീസിന്‍റെ ആരോപണം. വാടകവീടിനേക്കാള്‍ മഹത്വം സ്വര്‍ണ മഹലിനാണെന്ന് ഡെന്നീസ് കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി. പേയ്മെന്‍റ് സീറ്റ് ആരോപണത്തില്‍ അന്വേഷണം വേണമെന്ന് ചാലക്കുടി എം.പി.: ബെന്നി ബഹന്നാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

 

കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ നിന്ന് രാജിവച്ചാണ് ഡെന്നീസും കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണ മല്‍സരിച്ചത്. സാധാരണക്കാരനായ നേതാവെന്ന രീതിയില്‍ മണ്ഡലത്തില്‍ ഏറെ സ്വാധീനമുണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ, കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എം തഴയുകയായിരുന്നു.
