നാട്ടിക എം.എല്.എ. സി.സി. മുകുന്ദനെ പാര്ട്ടിയില് നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കി സിപിഐ. പാര്ട്ടി വിരുദ്ധ പ്രവര്ത്തനം ആരോപിച്ചാണ് തൃശൂര് ജില്ലാ കൗണ്സിലിന്റെ നടപടി. നാട്ടികയില് മുകുന്ദനു പകരം ഗീതാ ഗോപിയെ സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയായി തീരുമാനിച്ചതില് മുകുന്ദന് സിപിഐ നേതൃത്വത്തിനെതിരെ അതൃപ്തി പരസ്യമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
അതേസമയം, നാട്ടികയില് സി.സി.മുകുന്ദന് എം.എല്.എയെ യു.ഡി.എഫ്. സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയാക്കുന്നതില് കോണ്ഗ്രസിനുള്ളില് അമര്ഷം. സി.പി.ഐയിലെ സ്ക്രാപ്പ് കോണ്ഗ്രസിനു വേണ്ടെന്ന് പ്രാദേശിക നേതാക്കള് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കി.
സി.സി. മുകുന്ദന് എം.എല്.എയ്ക്ക് എതിരെ അഞ്ചുവര്ഷം സമരം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഒറ്റയടിച്ച് അതേമുകുന്ദന് കോണ്ഗ്രസ് സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയായി വരുന്നതാണ് പ്രവര്ത്തകരെ ചൊടിപ്പിച്ചത്. കോണ്ഗ്രസിന്റെ പ്രാദേശിക വികാരം മുകുന്ദനെതിരാണ്. കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നേതൃത്വം ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്തു പരിഹരിക്കട്ടെ. സ്വതന്ത്രനായി മല്സരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കോണ്ഗ്രസിന്റെ പ്രതിഷേധത്തോട് സി.സി. മുകുന്ദന് പ്രതികരിച്ചത്.
