ഇതോടെ മൂന്നുമുന്നണികള്ക്കും സ്ഥാനാര്ഥികളായി. കോണ്ഗ്രസ് ആര്യാടന് ഷൗക്കത്തിനെ സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയായി ആദ്യം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് പ്രചാരണ രംഗത്ത് ബഹുദൂരം മുന്നിലെത്തി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ് എം സ്വരാജിനെ സിപിഎം സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. സ്വരാജും പ്രചാരണ രംഗത്ത് സജീവമായി. പി.വി.അന്വര് തൃണമൂല് ചിഹ്നത്തില് മല്സരിക്കുമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്.
