കോഴിക്കോട് എസ്.എം.എ ബാധിതരായ കുട്ടികളുടെ സാഹായവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് വ്യാജപ്രചരണം നടക്കുന്നതായി പരാതി. ചികിത്സയ്ക്കാവശ്യമായ 50 കോടി ലഭിച്ചെന്നാണ് സമൂഹമാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ തെറ്റായ പ്രചാരണം നടക്കുന്നത്. പണം വരുന്നത് കുറയാന്‍ വ്യാജപ്രചാരണം കാരണമായെന്ന് ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
ഒന്നര വയസ് പ്രായമായ ഡേവിഡ്, ഏഥന്‍, ഒലിവര്‍ എന്നിവരുടെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് ആകെ വേണ്ടത് 50 കോടി രൂപ. നാടാകെ കൈക്കോര്‍ത്ത് പണം സമാഹരിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിനിടെയാണ് സമൂഹമാധ്യങ്ങളിലൂടെയുള്ള തെറ്റായ പ്രചരണം. 50 കോടി തികഞ്ഞെന്നും ഇനി പണം ആവശ്യമില്ലെന്നുമാണ് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതോടെ സഹായം ലഭിക്കുന്നതില്‍ കുറവ് വന്നതായി ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. നിലവില്‍ 16 കോടി 30 ലക്ഷം രൂപ മാത്രമാണ് ലഭിച്ചത്. ഇനിയും 34 കോടി രൂപ ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
