യൂട്യൂബ് ലൈവിൽ യുവതിയെ അധിക്ഷേപിച്ചെന്ന കേസിൽ യൂട്യൂബർ ‘തൊപ്പി’ എന്ന മുഹമ്മദ് നിഹാദിന് ഹൈക്കോടതി മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചു. മഞ്ചേരി പൊലീസ് റജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത കേസിലാണ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് കൗസർ എടപ്പഗത്തിന്റെ നടപടി. നേരത്തെ മഞ്ചേരി സെഷൻസ് കോടതി നിഹാദിന്റെ മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ തള്ളിയിരുന്നു.
കേസിനാസ്പദമായ ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ നേരിട്ട് പരിശോധിച്ച ശേഷമാണ് ഹൈക്കോടതി ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചത്. തൊപ്പി നേരിട്ട് അശ്ലീലമോ ലൈംഗികച്ചുവയുള്ളതോ ആയ പരാമർശം നടത്തിയതായി വ്യക്തമല്ലെന്നും, കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ട സാഹചര്യമില്ലെന്നും കോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു. ഒരുലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ബോണ്ട് ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ള വ്യവസ്ഥകളിൽ ആണ് മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചത്.
