നിലവില്‍ കേസ് റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. പകരം പ്രാഥമിക അന്വേഷണമെന്ന പേരിലാണ് പൊലീസ് റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തത്. നേരത്തേ തീരുമാനിച്ചത് അനുസരിച്ച് ഫയലുകളടക്കം പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിനും പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നതിനും മിന്നല്‍ പരിശോധനയിലേക്ക് കടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. രാവിലെ അഞ്ചുമണിയോടെ ഇതനുസരിച്ച്  പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘമെത്തി. രേഖകള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും പരിശോധിച്ച് സാമ്പത്തിക ഇടപാടുകള്‍, മറ്റ് കത്തിടപാടുകള്‍ എന്നിവ കണ്ടെത്തുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. നേരത്തെ ജിഎസ്ടി സംഘം നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയില്‍ 20 കോടിയോളം രൂപയുടെ തട്ടിപ്പ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് കൂടുതല്‍ വ്യക്തതയ്ക്കായി പരിശോധന നടത്തുന്നത്.

The Kerala Police Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by ADGP P. Vijayan, launched early morning statewide raids across five key locations in Kochi and Kozhikode over alleged financial irregularities in bringing Lionel Messi to Kerala. The search operations covered the head offices of Reporter Channel as well as the residences and flats of the company owners, the Anto brothers, in Kochi and Wayanad. Officials initiated the raid as part of a preliminary inquiry to examine financial documents, transaction files, and foreign money transfer records. The police action comes shortly after a GST department inspection detected tax evasion of nearly ₹20 crore associated with the proposed event. Authorities are conducting thorough checks on undisclosed bank accounts and transaction logs to bring further clarity to the money trail.
