പത്തനംതിട്ടയില് മൂന്നു വയസുകാരി വൈദ്യുതാഘാതമേറ്റു മരിച്ചു. റാന്നി വയലത്തല ലക്ഷം വീട് ഉന്നതിയിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന സാന്ദ്രയുടെ മകൾ അവന്തികയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. വീട്ടിൽ കളിച്ച കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയാണ് വൈദ്യുതാഘാതം ഏറ്റത്. ഉടന് കുട്ടിയെ റാന്നി താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചെങ്കിലും മരണം സംഭവിച്ചിരുന്നു.
കുഞ്ഞിനെ അങ്കണവാടിയിൽ വിടാൻ ഒരുക്കിശേഷം അമ്മ കുളിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തിരിച്ചുവന്നപ്പോള് നിലത്ത് വീണു കിടക്കുന്ന നിലയിലാണ് കുഞ്ഞിനെ കണ്ടത്. കുഞ്ഞിനെ തൊട്ട അമ്മയ്ക്കും വൈദ്യുതാഘാതം ഏറ്റു. കട്ടിലിൽ വച്ചിരുന്ന എക്സ്റ്റൻഷൻ ബോർഡിൽ നിന്നാണ് വൈദ്യുതാഘാതം ഏറ്റതെന്നാണ് സംശയിക്കുന്നത്.

A three-year-old girl named Avantika died of electrocution at Vayalathala Lakhsam Veedu Unnathi in Ranni, Pathanamthitta district. The tragic accident occurred while the child was playing at home as her mother was getting her ready for the Anganwadi. When the mother returned after taking a bath, she found the toddler lying on the floor and experienced an electric shock upon touching her. The victim was immediately rushed to the Ranni Taluk Hospital, but her life could not be saved. It is suspected that the child came into contact with a live extension board kept on a nearby bed.
