നവകേരള സദസിനിടെ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ്-കെ.എസ്‌.യു നേതാക്കളെ തല്ലിച്ചതച്ച ‘രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തന’ കേസിലെ പ്രതികളെ എസ്.ഐ.ടി ചോദ്യംചെയ്യുന്നു. ആലപ്പുഴ ക്രൈംബ്രാഞ്ച് ഓഫീസിലാണ് ചോദ്യംചെയ്യൽ. മുൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍റെ ഗൺമാൻ അനിൽകുമാർ, സിവിൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ സന്ദീപ്, വിപിൻ, അരുൺ, ഷൈജു എന്നിവരാണ് കേസിലെ പ്രതികൾ. കേസില്‍ പ്രതികളായ അഞ്ച് പൊലീസുകാരും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലിന് ഹാജരായിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതേസമയം, പിണറായി വിജയന് സുരക്ഷാഭീഷണി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്നും കേസില്‍ തന്നെ പെടുത്തിയതാണെന്നും കേസില്‍ പ്രതിയായ അനില്‍കുമാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ക്രൈം ബ്രാഞ്ച് ഓഫിസിനു മുന്നില്‍ സുരക്ഷ വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

അതേസമയം, പ്രതികളുടെ അറസ്റ്റ് അന്വേഷണസംഘം സാങ്കേതികമായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തും. ഇവർക്കെതിരെ 308-ആം വകുപ്പ് പ്രകാരമുള്ള നരഹത്യകുറ്റം ചുമത്തിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലാ സെഷൻസ് കോടതി പ്രതികൾക്ക് മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചിരുന്നു. അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തിന് മുമ്പാകെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലിന് ഹാജരാകാൻ ഉത്തരവിൽ കോടതി നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചിരുന്നു. മൂന്നു ദിവസം, രാലിലെ 10 മുതൽ നാല് മണിവരെ പ്രതികളെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാമെന്നും ഈ സമയത്ത് പ്രതികളെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ വെയ്ക്കാമെന്നും കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയാൽ പ്രതികളെ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾക്കു വിധേയമായി ജാമ്യത്തിൽ വിടണമെന്നും നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ചോദ്യംചെയ്യൽ പൂർത്തിയായാല്‍ അന്തിമ റിപ്പോർട്ട് കോടതിക്കും ഡി.ജി.പിക്കും നൽകും. കുറ്റപത്രം നൽകുന്നത് അടക്കമുള്ള നടപടികളിലേക്ക് അന്വേഷണസംഘം വൈകാതെ കടക്കും എന്നാണ് സൂചന. പ്രതികൾക്കെതിരെ നരഹത്യ ശ്രമത്തിനുള്ള വകുപ്പ് ചേർത്തതിൽ അസ്വഭാവികതയുണ്ടെന്ന്  മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉത്തരവിൽ കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. 2023 ഡിസംബർ 15നാണ് എ.ഡി.തോമസ് എം.എൽ.എ, യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് സംസ്ഥാന ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് അജയ് ജ്യൂവൽ കുര്യാക്കോസ് എന്നിവരെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ സുരക്ഷാസംഘം തല്ലിച്ചതച്ചത്. കേസിലെ അഞ്ചു പ്രതികളും ഇപ്പോൾ സസ്പെൻഷനിലാണ്.

The Special Investigation Team has commenced the formal interrogation of the security personnel involved in the controversial Navakerala Sadas 'rescue operation' assault case. Former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's personal gunman, Anil Kumar, along with suspended Civil Police Officers Sandeep, Vipin, Arun, and Shaiju, appeared before the probe team at the Alappuzha Crime Branch office. While entering the high-security premises, prime accused Anil Kumar stated to media personnel that he was being falsely implicated for merely neutralizing a severe security threat against the Chief Minister. The active interrogation is being conducted under strict guidelines from the Alappuzha District Sessions Court, which recently granted pre-arrest bail to the five suspended officers. Per the judicial directive, the SIT is authorized to detain and question the accused for three consecutive days between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, after which their technical arrests must be recorded before releasing them on bail. The high-profile criminal case dates back to December 15, 2023, when the security team brutally assaulted Youth Congress State General Secretary Adv. Ajay Jewel Kuriakose and MLA A.D. Thomas during an anti-government street protest.
