കര്ണാടക കൊല്ലൂരില് വാഹനാപകടത്തില് രണ്ടു മലയാളി യുവതികള്ക്ക് ദാരുണാന്ത്യം. കൊല്ലൂരിനു സമീപം ദേളിയെന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് രണ്ടുമണിയോടെയാണ് അപകടം. പാല സ്വദേശിനി ആര്യ അനൂപ്, ജ്യോതി എന്നിവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഏഴു മലയാളികളടക്കം എട്ട് പേര്ക്കു പരുക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചികില്സയിലുള്ളവരില് 3 പേര് കുട്ടികളാണ്.
പാലായില് നിന്നു കൊല്ലൂരിലേക്കു തീര്ഥാടനത്തിനായി എത്തിയ സംഘം ക്ഷേത്ര ദര്ശനത്തിനുശേഷം കുടജാദ്രി മലയിലേക്ക് ജീപ്പില് ട്രെക്കിങിനായി പുറപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു. തിരിച്ചുവരുന്നതിനിടെ മീന്ലോറിയുമായി നേര്ക്കുനേര് ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പരുക്കേറ്റവര് കുന്താപുരയിലെയും ഉഡുപ്പിയിലെയും ആശുപത്രികളില് ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.

In a tragic road accident near the Kollur pilgrimage center in Karnataka, two Malayali women lost their lives. The deceased have been identified as Arya Anoop, a native of Pala in Kottayam, and Jyothi. The accident occurred around 2:00 PM today at a place called Deli when the jeep they were traveling in collided head-on with a fish truck. The group had completed their darshan at the Mookambika temple and was returning from a trekking trip to the Kudajadri hills when the mishap took place. Eight others, including seven Keralites and three children, sustained injuries and have been rushed to hospitals in Kundapura and Udupi for medical assistance.
