അവയവദാനത്തിന്റെ മറവില് വ്യാജരേഖ ചമച്ച് അവയവ കച്ചവടം നടത്തിയ കേസിലെ മുഖ്യപ്രതി കാസര്കോട് സ്വദേശി നജീബ് അറസ്റ്റില്. ഡല്ഹിയില് നിന്നാണ് നജീബിനെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. കല്ലത്രാസ് മെഡിക്കൽ ടൂറിസം എന്ന വെബ്സൈറ്റ് വഴിയായിരുന്നു നജീബ് ഇടപാടുകൾ നടത്തിയത്. കേസില് നജീബിന്റെ ഭാര്യ റഷീദയുള്പ്പടെ ആറുപേര് നേരത്തേ അറസ്റ്റിലായിരുന്നു.
എംപിമാരുടെയും എംഎല്എമാരുടെയും മുതല് ജഡ്ജിമാരുടെ വരെ പേരില് കൃത്രിമ രേഖകള് നജീബും സംഘവും ചമച്ചതായി പൊലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു. കുന്നത്തുനാട്ടിലെയും പള്ളിക്കരയിലെയും കംപ്യൂട്ടര് സെന്ററുകള് വഴിയാണ് വ്യാജരേഖകള് നിര്മിച്ചത്. ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ അറിവോടെയാണോ റാക്കറ്റ് ഒപ്പും സീലും ഉപയോഗിച്ചതെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്താൻ ആശുപത്രികൾ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചും അന്വേഷണം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്.
