അയ്യപ്പ സംഗമത്തിലെ വിവാദ നിലപാടുകൾ പ്രതിനിധി സമ്മേളനത്തിലും ആവർത്തിച്ച് എൻഎസ്എസ് ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ജി.സുകുമാരൻ നായർ. സർക്കാർ നിലപാട് മാറ്റിയത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ആഗോള അയ്യപ്പ സംഗമത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തതെന്ന് ജി.സുകുമാരൻ നായർ പറഞ്ഞു. അയ്യപ്പ സംഗമത്തിൽ നിന്നും വിട്ടു നിന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികൾ എൻഎസ്എസ് നിലപാടിനെ രാഷ്ട്രീയമായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

സ്വർണ കവർച്ച കേസിൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയ താൽപര്യങ്ങൾ വച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ദുഷ്പ്രചരണങ്ങൾ തെറ്റാണ്. സ്വർണ്ണപ്പാളി കാണാതായയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ പാളിച്ച സംഭവിച്ചാൽ എൻഎസ്എസ് ഇടപെടും. എൻഎസ്എസിന് രാഷ്ട്രീയമില്ലെന്നും അംഗങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏതു രാഷ്ട്രീയ നിലപാടും സ്വീകരിക്കാമെന്നും സുകുമാരൻ നായർ പറഞ്ഞു. 

മന്നംജയന്തിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അഖില കേരള നായർ പ്രതിനിധി സമ്മേളനത്തിലായിരുന്നു സുകുമാരൻ നായരുടെ നിലപാട്.

NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair has reiterated his controversial remarks on the Ayyappa Sangamam. He said the NSS participated in the Global Ayyappa Sangamam only after the government revised its position. Political parties that stayed away from the event attempted to project the NSS stand as politically motivated, he said. Sukumaran Nair also warned against politically driven misinformation in the gold theft case. He stated that the NSS would intervene if lapses are found in the investigation into the missing gold sheets. The remarks were made at the All Kerala Nair Representative Conference held in connection with Mannam Jayanti.
