വയനാട് ഡിസിസി മുന്‍ ട്രഷറര്‍ എന്‍.എം.വിജയന്‍റെ ആത്മഹത്യയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സാമ്പത്തിക ഇടപാടുകളില്‍ ഐ.സി.ബാലകൃഷ്ണന്‍ എംഎല്‍എയ്ക്ക് എതിരെ കേസെടുത്ത് വിജിലന്‍സ്. പ്രാഥമിക അന്വേഷണത്തിന് ശേഷമാണ് കേസ്. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലുള്ള സഹകരണ ബാങ്കുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് നിയമനത്തിനായി കോഴ വാങ്ങിയതിലാണ് അന്വേഷണം.

ബത്തേരി അര്‍ബന്‍ സഹകരണ ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ കോഴ വാങ്ങിയെന്നാണ് കേസ്. വയനാട് വിജിലന്‍സ് ഡിവൈഎസ്പിയുടെ പ്രാഥമിക അന്വേഷണത്തിന് ശേഷം വിജിലന്‍സ് ഡയറക്ടറുടെ അനുമതിയോടെ ആണ് കേസെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.

അതേസമയം. ഐ.സി.ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ രാജിവയ്ക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് സിപിഎം രംഗത്തെത്തി. കേസെടുത്തത് പരാതിയിൽ കഴമ്പുള്ളതിനാലെന്ന് വയനാട് ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി  കെ.റഫീഖ് പറഞ്ഞു. ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ ചെയ്തത് ഗുരുതര തട്ടിപ്പാണ്, സിപിഎം സമരപരിപാടികളുമായി മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുമെന്നും റഫീഖ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

The Vigilance Department has registered a case against Wayanad MLA I C Balakrishnan following a preliminary inquiry into the financial transactions linked to the suicide of former Wayanad DCC treasurer N M Vijayan. The investigation pertains to allegations of bribe collection for appointments in Congress-controlled cooperative banks, including the Bathery Urban Cooperative Bank. The case was filed with the Vigilance Director’s approval after the DYSP’s initial probe. Meanwhile, the CPM has demanded the MLA’s resignation, calling the act a serious fraud and announcing protest plans.
