താമരശേരി ചുരം ഒന്‍പതാം വളവില്‍ അപകടം. ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായത് തലനാരിഴയ്ക്കാണ്. കണ്ടെയ്നര്‍ ലോറി സംരക്ഷണഭിത്തി തകര്‍ത്തു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞതിന് സമീപമാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. ഡ്രൈവറെയും ക്ലീനറെയും രക്ഷിച്ചു. സംരക്ഷണ ഭിത്തി തകര്‍ത്ത വാഹനത്തിന്റെ മുന്‍ഭാഗത്തെ ചക്രങ്ങള്‍ രണ്ടും വലിയ താഴ്ചയുള്ള കൊക്കയുടെ ഭാഗത്ത് പുറത്താണ് ഉള്ളത്. അപകടത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇതുവഴിയുള്ള ഗതാഗതം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. ലോറിയില്‍ രണ്ടു പേരാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. രണ്ടുപേരെയും സുരക്ഷിതമായി പുറത്തിറക്കി. കോഴിക്കോട് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്നു ലോറി .

അതേസമയം, മണ്ണിടിച്ചില്‍ ഉണ്ടായ താമരശേരി ചുരത്തിലൂടെയുള്ള ഗതാഗത നിയന്ത്രണം പൂര്‍ണമായി പിന്‍വലിച്ചു. മള്‍ട്ടി ആക്സില്‍ വാഹനങ്ങളും ഇനി കടത്തിവിടും. നിലവില്‍ കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി ബസുകളും ഇരുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങളും അടക്കമുള്ളവ ഒരേസമയം ഇരുവശത്തേക്കും കടത്തിവിടുന്നുണ്ട്. ചുരത്തില്‍ മഴ കുറഞ്ഞതോടെ ആണ് നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ നീക്കിയത്.  മണ്ണിടിച്ചില്‍ ഉണ്ടായ ലക്കിടി വ്യൂ പോയിന്‍റില്‍ വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള നിയന്ത്രണം തുടരും.

An accident occurred at the ninth curve of the Thamarassery Ghat, where a container lorry lost control and broke through the protective wall. A major disaster was narrowly avoided. The accident took place near the spot where a landslide had occurred the previous day. Both the driver and the cleaner were rescued safely. The lorry’s front wheels had gone past the protective wall, hanging dangerously over the deep gorge. Traffic in the area was disrupted following the incident. Only two people were inside the lorry, both of whom were brought out safely. The lorry was heading towards Kozhikode.
