ലഹരി നിര്മാര്ജനമാണ് തന്റെ ആദ്യലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് പൊലീസ് മേധാവിയായി ചുമതലയേറ്റ ഡിജിപി റാവാഡ ചന്ദ്രശേഖര് മനോരമ ന്യൂസിനോട്. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ മറ്റ് ഡി.ജി.പിമാരുമായി ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്ത് ലഹരി വരുന്ന വഴി അടയ്ക്കാന് സമഗ്ര പദ്ധതി തയാറാക്കും. വര്ധിച്ച് വരുന്ന ഗുണ്ടാ അതിക്രമങ്ങള് തടയാന് പൊലീസിന്റെ സാമൂഹ്യ ഇടപെടല് ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തും. ഗുണ്ടകള്ക്കെതിരെ കര്ശന നടപടിക്ക് പൊലീസുകാര്ക്ക് പൂര്ണ പിന്തുണയെന്നും ഡി.ജി.പി പറഞ്ഞു. പൊതുജനങ്ങളോട് മോശം പെരുമാറ്റം അംഗീകരിക്കില്ലെന്നും ഡിജിപി.
