കോഴിക്കോട് തൊണ്ടയാട് ബൈപ്പാസിന് സമീപം കെട്ടിടനിര്‍മാണത്തിനിടെ മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞ് തൊഴിലാളി മരിച്ചു. ബംഗാള്‍ സ്വദേശി എലാജര്‍ (30) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. മണ്ണിനടിയില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ രണ്ടുപേരെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി.  ബംഗാൾ സ്വദേശികളായ അലകിസ്, അദീഷ് എന്നിവരെയാണ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയത്. 

അതേസമയം, കോഴിക്കോട് പാലാഴിയിലും ദേശീയപാതയിലേക്ക് മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞു വീണു. ഹൈലൈറ്റ് മാളിന് സമീപത്തുള്ള ഫാറ്റ് സമുച്ചയത്തിന് അടുത്തായാണ് മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞത്. ആശങ്കപ്പെടേണ്ട സാഹചര്യമില്ലെന്നും ഉടൻ സുരക്ഷാഭിത്തി നിർമ്മിക്കുമെന്നും ദേശീയപാത അതോറിറ്റി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ മനോരമ ന്യൂസിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

A 30-year-old worker from Bengal, Elazar, died in a landslide near the Thondayad bypass in Kozhikode during construction work. Two others trapped under the soil were rescued and hospitalized. The landslide occurred at a National Highway service road construction site.
