In a heroic rescue at Karippara, Balussery (Kozhikode), MGNREGA workers saved an 11-year-old girl who fell into a ten-foot-deep water pit while bathing. Using a rope, the workers descended into the pit and brought the injured girl to safety. She sustained injuries to her hand and head. The girl is a student of Nellissery AUP School.
