കോഴിക്കോട് കായക്കൊടിയിൽ ഭൂമി കുലുക്കമുണ്ടായതായി സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് ജിയോളജി വിഭാഗം. വിശദമായ  പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് ശേഷമെ ഭൂചലനം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടോയെന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ വ്യക്തത വരുകയുള്ളു. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയാണ് കായക്കൊടി പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ രണ്ട് വാർഡുകളിൽ വലിയ ശബ്ദത്തോടെ ഭൂചനമുണ്ടായതായി നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞത്.

കായക്കൊടി പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ 4 5 വാർഡുകളിലാണ് ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 8 മണിയോടെ വലിയ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടത്. പരിഭ്രാന്തരായ നാട്ടുകാർ പലരും വീടുവിട്ട് പുറത്തേക്ക് ഓടി. ശബ്ദം വന്നത് ഭൂമിയ്ക്കടിയിൽ നിന്നെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ പറയുന്നു.എന്നാൽ സ്ഥലത്ത് എത്തി പരിശോധന നടത്തിയ ജിയോളജി വകുപ്പ് ഭൂചലനം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചില്ല.

തുടർച്ചയായി ഇത്തരം പ്രതിഭാസം ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത് പഠിക്കണമെന്ന്  സ്ഥലം സന്ദർശിച്ച ശേഷം നാദാപുരം എം എൽ എ ഇ കെ വിജയനും പറഞ്ഞു. കായക്കൊടിയിൽ ഭൂമി കുലുക്കം അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നത് ആദ്യമായല്ല.

The Geology Department has stated that the reports of an earthquake in Kayakkodi, Kozhikode, have not been confirmed. They have indicated that clarity on whether an earthquake occurred will only be possible after a detailed investigation. Yesterday night, residents of two wards in Kayakkodi Panchayat reported hearing a loud noise and experiencing tremors. While locals claimed the sound originated from beneath the ground and many fled their homes in panic, the Geology Department, after inspecting the area, did not confirm an earthquake. Nadapuram MLA E.K. Vijayan, who visited the location, emphasized the need to study the recurring nature of such phenomena. This is not the first time Kayakkodi has experienced reports of tremors.
