പത്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് നിന്ന് കാണാതായ 13 പവന് സ്വര്ണം കണ്ടെത്തി. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളില് പൊലീസ് നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ക്ഷേത്ര വളപ്പിലെ മണൽപ്പരപ്പിൽനിന്നാണ് സ്വർണം കിട്ടിയത്. ക്ഷേത്ര ശ്രീകോവിലിനു മുന്നിലെ വാതിൽ സ്വർണം പൂശാൻ പുറത്തെടുത്തതിൽ 13 പവനിലധികം (107 ഗ്രാം) സ്വർണമാണ് കാണാതായത്. സ്ട്രോങ് റൂമിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ച സ്വർണം എങ്ങനെ മണലിലെത്തി എന്നതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.

Thirteen sovereigns (107 grams) of gold that went missing from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple have been found within the temple premises. The gold, initially taken out to gold-plate the sanctum door, was discovered in a sandy area near the temple.
