ബെംഗളൂരു കബ്ബന്‍പേട്ടില്‍ മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ തട്ടിപ്പറിച്ചോടുന്നതിനിടെ മോഷ്ടാവ് കുഴഞ്ഞുവീണ് മരിച്ചു.  18-കാരനായ ജുനൈദ് ആണ് ഹൃദായാഘാതത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കുഴഞ്ഞുവീണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അര്‍ബസിനെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. മോഷ്ടാക്കളെ ചുമട്ടുതൊഴിലാളി തന്‍റെ ചുമടുപയോഗിച്ചാണ്  വീഴ്ത്തിയത്

ജൂണ്‍ 15 നാണ് സംഭവം. കബ്ബന്‍പേട്ടില്‍ ഫോണില്‍ സംസാരിച്ച് നടന്നു പോവുകയായിരുന്ന യുവാവാണ് മോഷണത്തിന് ഇരയായത്. ജുനൈദും അര്‍ബാസും സ്കൂട്ടറില്‍ ഇയാളെ പിന്തുടരുകയും മൊബൈല്‍ തട്ടിയെടുത്ത് കടന്നു കളയുകയുമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ യുവാവിന്‍റെ നിലവിളി ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പ്പെട്ട സമീപത്തെ തൊഴിലാളി സഹായിക്കാനെത്തി.

 

തലചുമടുമായി എത്തിയ തൊഴിലാളി മോഷ്ടാക്കളുടെ സ്കൂട്ടറിന് നേരെ ചുമട് എറിയുകയായിരുന്നു. നിയന്ത്രണം തെറ്റി ഇരുവരും റോഡില്‍ വീണു. നാട്ടുകാര്‍ പിടികൂടുമെന്ന ഭയത്തില്‍ ഫോണും വാഹനവും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഓടുന്നതിനിടെ ജുനൈദ് സമീപത്ത് കുഴഞ്ഞുവീണു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് സമീപത്തെ ഫുട്പാത്തില്‍ വിശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ  ഹൃദയാഘാതമുണ്ടാവുകയും  മരണം സംഭവിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു. ഹൃദ്രോഗമുള്ളയാളായിരുന്നു ജുനൈദ്. കഠിനമായ ഓട്ടമാകാം ഹൃദയസ്തംഭനത്തിന് കാരണമായതെന്നാണ് സൂചന.

Junaid and his accomplice, Arbaaz, were knocked off their scooter when a quick-thinking porter threw a head-load on them in response to the victim's cries for help. While they attempted to escape on foot, Junaid collapsed and died on a nearby footpath, likely due to the physical exertion of the chase aggravating his underlying heart condition, while Arbaaz was subsequently arrested by the police. The incident has drawn attention for the brave intervention of the local worker who effectively stopped the fleeing suspects.
