ബെംഗളൂരു ഹൊസ്കോട്ടയിലുണ്ടായ വാഹനാപകടത്തില്‍ മരിച്ചവരില്‍ രണ്ട് മലയാളികള്‍. ബെംഗളൂരു കൊത്തനൂരില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന അശ്വിന്‍ നായരും ഏഥന്‍ ജോര്‍ജുമാണ് മരിച്ചത്. യെലഹങ്ക ആര്‍.വി.പി.യു. കോളേജിലെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ സഞ്ചരിച്ച കാറാണ് അപകടത്തില്‍പെട്ടത്. 

 

പരീക്ഷ കഴിഞ്ഞത് ആഘോഷിക്കാനായി രാത്രി പുറപ്പെട്ട വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി സംഘം തിരികെ വരുന്നതിനിടെ പുലര്‍ച്ചെ അഞ്ചുമണിയോടെ ഹൊസ്കോട്ട സാറ്റലൈറ്റ് ടൗണ്‍ റിങ് റോഡില്‍ വച്ചു മുന്നിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബൈക്കില്‍ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്നു കാര്‍ തൊട്ടടുത്ത ലെയിനില്‍കൂടി പോവുകയായിരുന്ന ട്രെക്കിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചു കയറി. 

 

കാറിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആറുപേരും ബൈക്ക് യാത്രികനും സംഭവസ്ഥലത്തുവച്ചു തന്നെ മരിച്ചു. കാറിന്റെ അമിത വേഗമാണു അപകടകാരണം. കാര്‍ ഇടിച്ചുകയറിയതിന്റെ ആഘാതത്തില്‍ ട്രക്കിന്റെ ചക്രങ്ങള്‍ വേര്‍പെടുകയും വാഹനം ഒന്നടങ്കം സര്‍വീസ് റോഡിലേക്കു തെറിച്ചുപോവുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Two Malayalees are among the seven people who died in a car–bike collision in Bengaluru. The deceased have been identified as Ashwin Nair and Ethan George, residents of Kothanur, Bengaluru. The car involved in the accident was carrying students from Yelahanka R.V.P.U. College. The students had gone out at night to celebrate the completion of their exams. While returning, around 5 AM, their car rammed into a bike in front of them at Hoskote Satellite Town Ring Road. Following the collision, the car veered into the adjacent lane and crashed into a truck.
