നേപ്പാളിലെ ഭോട്ടെകോസി നദിയില്‍ മിന്നല്‍പ്രളയത്തില്‍ വന്‍നാശനഷ്ടം. പതിനാറുപേരുടെ മരണം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. 105 ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ നിരവധിപേരെ കാണാതായി.  ടിബറ്റന്‍ അതിര്‍ത്തിയില്‍നിന്ന് ഒഴുകിയെത്തിയ വെള്ളമാണ് വ്യാപക നാശനഷ്ടം വരുത്തിയത്. നിരവധി ഗ്രാമങ്ങള്‍ ഒലിച്ചുപോയി. അണക്കെട്ടുകള്‍ക്കും പാലങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കേടുപാടുണ്ടായി. നാശനഷ്ടങ്ങളുടെ വ്യാപ്തി പുറത്തുവരാന്‍ ഇനിയും സമയമെടുക്കും. 

 

രസുവ ജില്ലയില്‍ 26 നേപ്പാള്‍ പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ കാണാതായി. ആറ് പ്രധാന ജലവൈദ്യുതി പദ്ധതികള്‍ക്ക് കേടുപാടുപറ്റി.  ഇരുന്നൂറ്റി അന്‍പതിലധികം വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളെ കാണാതായി. ടിബറ്റില്‍ ഉല്‍ഭവിച്ച് നേപ്പാളിലെ തൃശൂലി നദിയില്‍ ഒഴുകിയെത്തുന്നതായി ഭോട്ടെകോസി നദി. ഈ നദി പിന്നീട് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ച് ഗണ്ഡക് നദിയായി മാറുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ബിഹാറിലും യുപിയിലും ഗണ്ഡക് നദീ തീരങ്ങളില്‍ ജാഗ്രതാ നിര്‍ദേശം പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.

A devastating flash flood struck the Bhotekoshi River in Nepal, resulting in at least nine confirmed fatalities and leaving around two hundred people missing. The catastrophe was triggered by heavy waters rushing in from the Tibetan border, which swept away several villages and severely damaged dams and bridges. Authorities report that over one hundred Indian tourists are among the missing individuals, prompting emergency search operations. In response to the surging waters flowing downstream into the Gandak River, high alerts have been issued along riverbanks in the Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
