യുഎസിലെ ടെക്സസില്‍ മിന്നല്‍പ്രളയം; 13 മരണം; 23 പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളെ കാണാതായി

അമേരിക്കയിലെ ടെക്സസില്‍ മിന്നല്‍പ്രളയം. 13 പേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. 23 പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളെ കാണാതായി.  നദീതീരത്തെ സമ്മർക്യാംപിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തവരെയാണ് കാണാതായത്. 750 പേരാണ്  ക്യാംപില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തത്. ഹെലിക്കോപ്റ്ററുകളും ബോട്ടുകളും ഡ്രോണുകളും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം തുടരുകയാണ്.

25 സെന്റീമീറ്ററില്‍ അധികം മഴ പെയ്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഗ്വാഡലൂപ്പെ നദിയില്‍ ജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയരുകയായിരുന്നു.  ഗ്വാഡലൂപ്പെ നദിയില്‍ 45 മിനിറ്റിനുളളില്‍ ജലനിരപ്പ് 26 അടിയായി ഉയര്‍ന്നതോടെയാണ് പ്രളയത്തിലേക്ക് മാറിയത്. 14 ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററുകളും 12 ഡ്രോണുകളും ഒന്‍പത് രക്ഷാസേന സംഘവും അഞ്ഞൂറോളം രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുമാണ് സ്ഥലത്ത് തിരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തുന്നത്.

 മുതിർന്നവരും കുട്ടികളും മരിച്ചവരിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. സ്ഥിതി ഇപ്പോഴും ഗുരുതരമാണെന്നും മരണസംഖ്യ ഇനിയും ഉയർന്നേക്കാമെന്നും അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു. ഏകദേശം 30,000 താമസക്കാരാണ് ദുരിത ബാധിതരായതെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
