സദ്യയും കളരിപ്പയറ്റും ഒപ്പനയും ഒക്കെയായി ഒരു അമേരിക്കന് ഓണാഘോഷം. അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഡാലസിലാണ് കേരള അസോസിയേഷന്റെ ഓണാഘോഷം പൊടിപൊടിച്ചത്. ഭൂഖണ്ഡം വരെ മാറിയാലെന്ത്, ഓണവും മാവേലിയും ഓണസദ്യയും ഒക്കെയായി അമേരിക്കന് നാടായ ഡാലസ് കുറെ നേരത്തേക്ക് മറ്റൊരു കേരളമായി.
വൈവിധ്യങ്ങളുടെ സദ്യവട്ടം ഇലയില് മാത്രമല്ല, വേദിയിലുമെത്തി. കേരളത്തിന്റെ തനത് കലാരൂപങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ആഘോഷങ്ങള്ക്ക് വര്ണപ്പൊലിമ സമ്മാനിച്ചു. ഡാലസിലെ കേരള അസോസിയേഷന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലെ ഓണാഘോഷത്തിന് മൂവായിരത്തോളം മലയാളികളാണ് പങ്കെടുത്തത്. നാട്ടിലല്ലെങ്കിലും നാടിനെ സ്വാംശീകരിക്കുന്നതായി ആഘോഷങ്ങളത്രയും.

Over 3,000 Malayalees gathered to recreate the essence of Kerala, transforming the American city into a temporary cultural hub. The celebrations were a blend of traditional rituals and cultural performances, including a grand Onasadhya (feast), the symbolic arrival of King Mahabali, and captivating displays of Kerala's martial art, Kalaripayattu, and the folk dance Oppana.
